Your lower back is one of the most vulnerable and important area of your back that has the responsibility of supporting your back. The first lower back pain exercise you can do at home is the exercise ball exercise. You will need to purchase an exercise ball that is suitable for your height if you haven't got one already. An exercise ball is not only great for relieving the strains on your lower back muscles but it's also affordable and fun to sit on.


To exercise your lower back with an exercise ball, you will first need to lie down on the floor with your head on a pillow and in a slightly elevated position while the heels of your feet must be propped on the exercise ball. After that, lift your bottoms slowly until your body reaches a position when it is straight and at a particular angle to the exercise ball.

The second lower back pain exercise will require that you purchase an inversion table. An inversion table is basically where you will be strapped on and it will be inverted at a pre-determined angle so that the disc space between your vertepae increases sufficiently to ease the pressure that is causing the pinching of the nerves and which subsequently lead to back pain. The third lower back pain exercise is rather simple and easy to do. All you need is a small sized pillow which you will use to lie your stomach on to support your chest. After that, hold your arms at right angles to your body position and squeeze your shoulder blades. To do this correctly, you will need to raise both your arms from their original position.
